Hospital Pricing Transparency
Patient Pricing InformationAt Jackson Medical Center, our goal is to provide you with high-quality care and the best possible experience possible, from registration to discharge. We know medical costs can be very confusing and overwhelming. To make this process as transparent as possible, our hospital will make available our current standard charges and in compliance with the Affordable Care Act [Section 2719(e) of the Public Health Service Act].
About Hospital ChargesHospital charges vary from facility to facility for many complex reasons including each hospital's unique mix of services and payer relationships. The government requires hospitals to maintain a fee schedule, commonly known as the chargemaster, and to publish the chargemaster on their websites. These charges do not reflect what patients generally pay for the services they receive or represent what the hospital is actually paid in most circumstances. The chargemaster should not be used to estimate a patient's actual cost of care or as a meaningful comparison about what hospitals are paid for their services.
Please bring your insurance card(s) and ID with you to each appointment. It is important to have your correct insurance information on file to help us correctly bill your insurance.
No Surprise BillingWhen you get emergency care or get treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing. To learn more about your rights and protections click here.
